Education, Health & Socio-economy

Indicus has created large databases of the socio-economic profiles of states, cities, districts, and even blocks. The Indicus socio-economic profiling framework ensures that all aspects of the society and economy are covered and objective indicators are created. These indicators are updated regularly to allow for intertemporal comparisons. The development of these indicators requires secondary data to be supplemented by primary surveys of the region under consideration. These databases have been useful in carrying out several socio-economic studies largely in the area but not limited to health and education.

Indicus has undertaken many studies on health conditions, access and expenditures as well as on the emerging industry structure. Reproductive and child health (RCH) studies include surveys, evaluations as well as analysis of secondary data from morbidity surveys. Primary surveys, secondary data analysis, policy analysis and econometric modeling are the methodologies that have been used. In the education sector Indicus has conducted many studies on pre-schooling to primary and elementary schooling, access, private versus public trade-off, cost and expenditure in education delivery, etc. It has also conducted studies involving the evaluation of development programs.
