Abstract
Peoples’ Expectations from the State in the Context of a Globalizing Indian Economy (National Foundation For India). Indicus Analytics conducted a survey for the National Foundation for India’s research project ‘Globalization and the Indian State’. The objective was to capture peoples’ expectation from the Indian State in the context of a globalizing economy. An all-India representative survey has been conducted across 10 states where respondents were queried on their expectations from the State in terms of the various services being provided/ensured/facilitated by it. The questionnaire attempted to distinguish between the three roles of the state as provider/ensure/facilitator of choices. The results of the survey are currently being analyzed.
