TPN POLL/IIP: TickerPlant Economists Forecast Dec industry output up 12%

MUMBAI, FEB 9: TickerPlant News presents forecast of growth of India's Index of Industrial Production in December.

* IIP projections median: up 12.00%; average: up 12.17%.

* Month earlier, provisionally up 11.7%; year ago, down 0.2%.

* Economists of 16 banks or financial services firms polled (see below).

* Projections range between up 10.50% and up 14.00%.

Central Statistical Organisation will detail IIP for December on Thursday.

"My IIP estimate for December is 12.8% (year-on-year) partly on account of improved growth momentum and partly due to lower statistical base."
